Happy New Year!!!!

The Walkers hope you have a prosperous New Year in 2009. Please pray for our troops and their families. God Bless,
JJ, Donna, Tanner & Jack Walker

Desert to SNOW!!!

Even though we live in the desert we decided to take a little time away and head up to the mountains of Arizona. We spent a couple of days in Flagstaff, AZ with temperatures starting the day at -4 degrees and only getting a high of 23 degrees. It reminded me of how much I don't miss the snow. The boys had a great time and we got to look at some amazing sites. We wanted to go to the Grand Canyon but the roads were closed.

New Boots

Okay, I have been drooling over these for the past 3 months. I thought they were different and unique. They are made by Carlos Santana. We went shopping on Black Friday and I found them 50% off! I am curious what you all think.

I thought this was funny!

I received this picture in an email, the caption was..... This is what happens when you make me wear bows and dresses!

Tanner's last football game

These are some snap shots of Tanner's last football game. He was really sad to have the season end. The new season is scheduled to start the first week in January. He's so excited because he will be considered a "veteran" football player now. Tanner did really well this year. We were so happy he stuck with the football season, and totally overwhelmed that he want's to come back again. He's our creative child who is into music, art and of all things cars. (Have no idea where he get's that from) Anways, below you will see pictures of Tanner posing for Mom. What you don't see is Tanner saying, Mom HURRY UP!

Jack's last football game this year.

Jack had his last football game this past month. He was a little sad, but I also think he was ready for a break. He has had several minor injuries through out the season. He's broken both of his pinkie fingers and after his last game he was playing catch with some of his team mates and once again broke his finger. FUN FUN!! The joy of boys. He had a good time considering this was his first year ever playing football. He was picked to be the Homecoming King for his squad. He was so excited. The entire football team was yelling, "Jack, Jack, Jack!" He got the honor of walking a cutie named Crystal down the aisle. How fun! Jack is picture above with 2 of 4 of his coaches, his best bud Carl (who is a future NFL player, mark my words), a picture of him running the ball but of course you can't see him. The final picture is for me, "Whatever mom, hurry up and take the picture!"

NORTH EAST STEELERS!!!!!

Well we have been very busy in the desert. Jack & Tanner have joined a contact football team. They play for the North East Steelers, which bare the symbol of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their Dad is so proud. Today was their first scrimmage game, which for my boys it was their first ever contact football game. Tanner plays for the intermediates which are the 10 and 11 year olds and Jack plays for the minors which are 8 & 9 year olds. They both had two games today and they had tons of fun. The first picture is of the boys right before we left for practice. The second picture is Jack in the running back position and the last picture is Tanner in the Right Tight End position. They will be doing scrimmages about twice a week until the big day of their first actual seasonal game which is August 23rd. Did I mention I am so glad JJ chose the Orthapedics field?
